Stephen Tanzer - Vinous Media
"(from a vineyard planted at the north end of the village, also in 1928): Medium red. Tangy, high-pitched aromas of raspberry, redcurrant, gibier and blood orange. Sappy, intense and fruit-driven, with terrific energy to its red berry flavors. This vineyard features the same plant material as Fourrier's Gevrey-Chambertin aux Echezeaux on the south side of the village, but is planted at 10,000 vines per hectare rather than 12,000. If the Echezeaux should be ideal with white meats, this is more a red meat wine."
