"This is also reticent and brooding but even earthier than the Vergelesses with dense aromas of iron-inflected dark berry fruit that emits a hint of the sauvage. There is solid mid-palate concentration to the impressive complex flavors that enjoy an abundance of palate coating dry extract that also serves to buffer the moderately firm tannins on the impressively well-balanced and persistent finish. This is excellent and Fichots typically ages exceptionally well and I see no reason why this example shouldn't either."
