Jeb Dunnuck - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
"Starting out the whites and a real “Wow” wine, the 2011 Chardonnay Belle De Jour Hilliard Bruce Vineyard (aged 16 months in 45% new French oak) has a knockout, white Burgundy-styled profile with clean Chardonnay fruit (apple, citrus), edgy minerality, toast and hints of nuttiness all emerging from the glass. Medium to full-bodied, supremely pure and detailed, with juicy, yet integrated acidity and a great finish, it should be even better in another year and evolve gracefully for upwards of a decade. Drink 2014-2021.
Paul Lato continues to knock it out of the park and I can’t say enough about the quality coming from this estate. Across the board, the wines show classic, varietally correct profiles that always show finesse and elegance, yet back it up with layers of fruit and texture."
