About

"Carlisle's 2011 White Wine The Derivative is a blend of Semillon, Muscadelle and Palomino, a modern-day version of Hock, a white blend that was popular in the late 1800s and early 1900s. Almonds, hazelnuts, dried flowers, mint and licorice all blossom in an inviting, textured white long on personality and class. Dried flowers, honey and mint add nuance on the finish. It is amazing to consider that these vineyards were planted between 1886 and 1920."

Product Description:

"Pale white-gold. Pungent aromas of white grapefruit, lemon zest, fresh herbs, and a hint of vanilla. Very expressive with the Semillon currently taking center stage. The wine glides smoothly across the palate as flavors of citrus and quinine weave in and out of the silken texture. A bit less zippy than the 2010 but still more than enough acidity to keep the palate refreshed. Drink from release through 2015, perhaps longer given Semillon’s proclivity for aging." -Winery
