John Gilman - View from the Cellar
"The 2011 Clos de la Barre is also excellent from Louis Jadot, offering up a deep and expressive bouquet of cassis, black cherries, bitter chocolate, herb tones, woodsmoke, soil and cedary wood. On the palate the wine is pure, full-bodied and beautifully refined, with excellent mid-palate depth, ripe tannins and superb length and grip on the focused and suave finish. This will want seven or eight years of bottle age to really blossom and should drink splendidly for at least a couple of decades. 2019-2040."
