John Gilman - View from the Cellar
"Klaus-Peter Keller’s old vines in the Kirchspiel will celebrate their fiftieth birthdays in 2014, so this parcel is really at the top of its game at the present time and this brilliant 2012er may well be the greatest example I have yet tasted from Klaus-Peter. The flawlessly ripe and pure nose soars from the glass in a blend of pink grapefruit, orange, a gentle base of wild yeasts, stunning complex minerality, a touch of petrol, citrus zest and lemon blossoms. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied, pure and seamless, with a superb core of fruit, dazzling complexity, ripe acids and stunning focus and grip on the very, very long and pinpoint finish. Just a brilliant bottle of dry Riesling! 2020-2060."
