"On the other hand, the 2009 Cote Rotie Brune et Blonde is brilliant. It was scheduled to be bottled several days after my visit in late October. A deep plum/ruby/purple color is accompanied by notes of toast, bacon fat, raspberries and black cherries intermixed with hints of roasted coffee and new saddle leather. Rich, medium to full-bodied, fleshy and silky-textured, it is already hard to resist, and should continue to drink well for 10-15 years."
