"A meaty, slightly herbaceous Barbera, this 2007 was aged in a combination of cement and neutral foudres for 18 months. It reveals plenty of herbaceously tinged cherry fruit intermixed with hints of licorice, fruitcake and Asian spices. Medium-bodied with a beefy finish, it should be consumed over the next several years."
