John Gilman - View from the Cellar
"I love Domaine Fontaine-Gagnard’s version of Caillerets, which is probably my favorite premier cru in all of Chassagne. The 2011 is outstanding, offering up a deep and classically youthful aromatic mélange of apple, pear, tangerine, complex, chalky minerality, orange blossoms, citrus zest and vanillin oak. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied and very pure, with a superb core of fruit, a classic sense of reserve, snappy acids, laser-like focus and simply superb length and grip on the elegant and still quite primary finish. This will be a terrific wine. 2015-2035."

"High-pitched aromas of lemon, lime, crushed stone, jasmine and coriander. Dense, pliant and intense, with brisk acidity and lovely limey lift giving the mid-palate a zippy quality for the year. Really echoes on the tactile, long back end, which coats the palate with intriguing salty minerality. A splendid showing."
92 Allen Meadows - Burghound
"A discreet application of wood surrounds fresh, exotic and cool aromas of both white and yellow orchard fruit with hints of pineapple and green tea. There is strikingly good delineation to the mineral-driven middle weight flavors that possess a refined mouth feel before terminating in a driving, linear, dry and wonderfully persistent finish. Note that this is not as complex as it will be in time so some patience will be required if you wish to experience this wine's full potential."
