From the Critics:

  • "Smoke, slate, crushed rocks, nectarines and orange blossoms are some of the many nuances that are woven together in Lail’s 2010 Sauvignon Blanc Georgia. A gorgeous, textured white, the Graves-inspired Georgia stands out for its exceptional overall balance and finesse. There is plenty of richness to fill out the wine’s broad shoulders, but no excess heaviness. The 2010 spent 17 months in French oak barrels, 83% new, all of which it handles with grace. Anticipated maturity: 2012-2016." - 93 Pts Antonio Galloni - Vinous
  • "Bright green-tinged yellow. Cooler on the nose and palate than the 2009, offering notes of underripe pineapple, crushed rock, gooseberry, licorice and fresh herbs. Suave and energetic, with penetrating minerality contributing to the impression of purity and thrust. Showing more definition and phenolic grip than the oakier 2009, this should make a dynamite food wine. Winemaker Philippe Melka stirs the lees for the first six months. A superb and distinctive California sauvignon." - 93 Pts Stephen Tanzer - International Wine Cellar
