"Bright straw green. Delicate, enticing aromas of dried apple, hazelnut and herbs. Then surprisingly large-scaled and savory on the palate, conveying a strong impression of dry extract. Ripe acidity lifts the apricot and menthol flavors. Boxler told me he produced 30% less sylvaner than usual in 2010 due to flowering problems. Very serious, classically dry sylvaner with only 3 g/l of residual sugar--yet another example of a sylvaner with uncanny depth and power due to the low yields and the even thicker-than-usual skins. And wildly better than the 2011: try it with oysters."
