Antonio Galloni - Vinous
"The domaine's 2011 Batard-Montrachet is one of the most refined, polished Batards I can remember tasting. A host of bright, saline-infused aromas and flavors open up in the glass. Citrus, oyster shells, white flowers and spices take on more prominence over time, while floral notes become increasingly expressive on the finish. This is a flat-out great bottle of Burgundy."
96 John Gilman - View from the Cellar
"The 2011 Bâtard-Montrachet from Domaine Bernard Moreau et Fils is a beautifully elegant and classically youthful example of this great terroir, offering up a pure and outstanding nose of apple, pear, tangerine, lemon zest, a complex base of soil, floral tones and vanillin oak. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied and very primary in personality, with great purity and focus, bottomless depth at the core, great cut and grip and an extremely long, snappy and refined finish. This is a great wine by any measure, but give it plenty of time in the cellar to totally blossom! 2022-2060."
92-94 Allen Meadows - Burghound
"There is a deft touch of wood setting off the markedly ripe but not exotic yellow orchard fruit, acacia blossom, spice and fennel suffused nose. There is excellent freshness and a real sense of underlying tension to the big-bodied and well-detailed flavors that possess a lovely texture as there is plenty of mouth coating extract that buffers the firm, linear, dry and beautifully long finish. While this doesn't lack for power or punch, this is a relatively elegant Bâtard."
