"Ruby-red. Reticent nose suggests cherry and nutty oak. Sappy and seriously concentrated, with a medicinal cast to the primary black cherry flavor. The ripe tannins really spread out to coat the palate. This Cotes de Castillon wine has been impressive since the outset, and the finished wine is fresher than my earliest barrel sample in the spring of 2006." (06/08)

"Chateau Veyry is owned by Christian Veyry, who is a well-known oenologist on the Right Bank and who has worked as Michel Rolland's right hand man."
"The Cotes de Castillon area is the playing ground of quite a few movers and shakers from the Libournais who all bought estates here after recognizing the potential of the area: Stephan von Neipperg (la Mondotte, Canon LG), Gerard Perse (Pavie), Alain Raynaud (Quinault l'Enclos), etc."
"Chateau Veyry is only 3.5 Ha, planted at 90% with Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc, with a great exposition dominating the Dordogne river." - Importer
This wine was also rated 87-88 Points by The Wine Advocate, and 87 Points by the Wine Spectator.
