About

Ratings:

92-94

"An unusually complex nose for a wine of this level offers up aromas of pear, straw and lemon grass. In very much the same vein, this is also notably more concentrated than is typical with plenty of dry extract and a relatively sophisticated mouth feel, all wrapped in a balanced, lingering and equally complex finish. This would make a terrific house white plus it will age for a few years too if desired."

94 John Gilman - View from the Cellar

"This is a great young bottle of Poruzots. The utterly refined, complex and very deep nose jumps from the glass in a classy blend of passion fruit, apple, orange zest, a touch of pink grapefruit, almond, iodine, beautiful soil tones and vanillin oak. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied and very, very pure on the attack, with great intensity of flavor, bright, piercing acids, laser-like focus and great cut and grip on the very long, perfectly balanced and seamless finish. A beautiful young bottle of Meursault. 2017- 2040."

93 Allen Meadows - Burghound

"(from a parcel measuring .78 ha that is on the Genevrières side). This is aromatically less refined but more complex with its pungent nose of hazelnut, green fruit, pear and just a hint of wood. There is excellent volume to the extract rich, powerful and solidly well-concentrated medium weight flavors that possess excellent persistence on the impeccably balanced finish. This is still very tight and may require up to a decade to fully mature."
