Jeb Dunnuck - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
"Up with the top wines in the vintage, the 2011 Chateauneuf du Pape Les Gallimardes (90% concrete aged Grenache and 10% barrel-aged Syrah, from 100-year-old vines) is a rich, hedonistic effort that oozes sweet black currants, cassis, crushed stone, leather and roasted meat-like aromas and flavors. Full-bodied, gorgeously textured, with fine tannin and an already accessible style, it’s one of the stars of the vintage and should not be missed. Drink now-2023."

"The sensational 2011 Chateauneuf du Pape Les Gallimardes (90% Grenache from over 100-year-old vines and 10% Syrah) is one of the stars of the vintage. Dense kirsch liqueur notes intermixed with notions of lavender, black raspberries, licorice and loamy soil jump from the glass of this deep ruby/purple-colored effort. Full-bodied, expansive, round and generous, it should drink well for 10-12 years."
