"Medium red. Fresh strawberry and clove spice on the nose. Juicier and tighter than the village Gevrey, conveying an impression of brooding energy. Solid, savory but youthfully imploded wine with lovely balance and a long, perfumed finish. This wine, the Gevrey and the Chambolle are nicely transparent to their respective villages."
John Gilman - View from the Cellar:
"I have always liked the Morey villages bottling from the domaine and the 2010 is going to be lovely. The nose is deep, pure and sappy, jumping from the glass in a mix of plums, black cherries, raw cocoa, violets, woodsmoke and a fine base of soil. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied and potentially quite velvety, with a fine core of sappy fruit, beautiful soil inflection, moderate tannins and refined elegance on the very long and focused finish. Really a high class village wine in 2010! 2016-2035."
