Lisa Perrotti-Brown - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
Deep garnet-purple in color, the 2010 The Schubert Theorem shows off a beautifully perfumed black cherry, macerated blackberry and blueberry nose that captures a real underlying sweetness and is highlighted with touches of chocolate, cumin and lavender plus a whiff of pepper. Rich, full-bodied and packed with flavor, it is elegantly constructed though still very youthful and has firm grainy tannins framing the long and layered finish. Drink 2015 to 2025+

Inky purple. Intense, highly expressive aromas of blackberry, blueberry, cherry pit, roasted coffee and exotic flowers. Juicy and appealingly sweet, with densely packed red and dark berry flavors complicated by pungent spices and violet pastille. Deep, penetrating and very persistent on the finish, with juicy cherry and dark berry flavors lingering.

Focused into a sharp beam, this red features blackberry, raspberry and violet aromas, playing against grippy tannins on the long and expressive finish. This has presence and depth, and the finish doesn't quit. Best from 2017 through 2025. 100 cases made. –HS
