"A nose of pure pear and apple perfumes, surrounded by notes of fresh cut sugar cane, brown butter, white flowers, vanilla blossoms and a touch of slate minerality. A rich, dense mouthfeel is followed by flavors of pear, white peach and fresh herbs, with lemon zest and white pepper in the long, pure finish. Excellent weight is balanced by crisp acidity making for a powerful wine that isn't heavy or cloying. Best enjoyed in its youth."
"Our signature White Rhone Blend consists of Grenache Blanc, Viognier, Roussanne and Marsanne. Aged in stainless steel, the grapes come from select vineyards in Paso Robles and Santa Barbara County. " - Winery
"This lineup from Barrel 27 is rich in value-priced offerings. The wines are defined by soft, silky tannin, an overt expression of fruit and phenomenal length. They may be a little over the top for some readers, but there is no denying the great value these wines offer." (Issue #196 - 08/11) - Antonio Galloni, The Wine Advocate
This was also scored 88 Points by the Wine Advocate and the Rhone Report, and 86 Points by the Wine Spectator.
