John Gilman - View from the Cellar
"The 2010 les Brouillards is another outstanding example of the vintage, as these sixty year-old vines have really excelled. The brilliant nose soars from the glass in a fine mix of red and black cherries, a touch of blood orange, woodsmoke, stunningly pure minerality, fresh herbs,
gamebirds and a touch of vanillin oak. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied, reserved and shows off beautiful complexity out of the blocks, with a sappy core of fruit, stunning soil inflection and excellent length and grip on the ripely tannic finish. Great juice. 2020-2060+."
90-93 Allen Meadows - Burghound
"There is also reduction here but it's sufficiently mild to allow a glimpse at what appear to be ripe but cool red berry fruit and warm earth aromas. There is good richness to the pure and elegant medium-bodied flavors that possess both excellent volume and like the Les Angles, a silky mouth feel on the impressively long and complex finish. This is also a wine of contrasts as the silky mid-palate is juxtaposed against a firm and robust finale."
