"Also more than a little impressive, the 2010 Domaine les Teyssonnieres Gigondas is a blend of 80% Grenache and 20% Syrah that is aged for 12-months in very old foudre. It sports an outstanding perfume of toasted spices, wild herbs, flowers, leather, and mineral-laced red and black fruits that flows to a medium to full-bodied, elegance and straight delicious 2010 that has an elegant, soft texture, fine tannin, and a lengthy finish. Already approachable and hard to resist, this will continue to shine for 8-10 years." (09/12)

Vineyard:
"Our vineyard enjoys a Mediterranean climate dominated by the sun and mistral (North Wind). Located at the foot of Montmirail, massive steep, through which breezes temper the rising and falling temperature peaks. Exposure west of our area gives perfect ventilation, avoid excessive heat of the summer and gives our wines finesse and acidity that make wines of excellent care. Sandy clay soils, with high permeability mitigate their erosion stormwater and allow a quick soak plots. This helps to store overnight, solar energy in order to prolong the vegetative activity vines."

"Our vineyard is composed of 13 varieties, but are our Grenache (sometimes old) present on the field who express themselves in all their fullness on this soil. Indeed limiting sunshine in the morning, the Dentelles significantly increase the maturity of Grenache, who needs to express slow at best. Grenache has provided our wines: the body, tannins. And any expression of our terroir." - Winery
