Antonio Galloni - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
"Tar, licorice, incense, melted road tar, savory herbs and plums are some of the many notes that flow from the 2010 Dogliani Sori San Martino. Although quite dark and brooding in its flavor profile, the San Martino is actually quite medium-bodied and refined, with endless layers of expressive, deeply perfumed fruit that caress the palate from start to finish. The San Martino is a rare wine of unusual pedigree and class. This is quite simply one of the best wines I have ever tasted from Dogliani. And the price? An absolute steal. Anticipated maturity: 2012-2016.
Every time I taste the Francesco Boschis’s wines, I can’t believe how this estate manages to remain so far under the radar. Once again, Boschis has turned out a superb set of wines loaded with personality. I can’t recommend these wines highly enough."
