"This rich red is filled with smoke, spice, cherry and currant aromas and flavors. Intense yet light on its feet, with a long, lingering aftertaste of clove, smoke and mineral notes. Best from 2013 through 2020. 250 cases made. -BS" (11/12)

"The Lavieres has a lovely bouquet of crisp red cherry, cranberry and raspberry leaf that is well defined. The palate is crisp and lively on the entry with supple ripe wild strawberry notes and crisp acidity towards the rustic finish. I like the honesty and personality of this Savigny." (01/12)

Product Description:

"70% destemmed. Even more spicy on the nose, oak more evident. Attractive savoury nose. Oak and tannins not very welcoming at the moment, not as openly aromatic as some but well structured and fresh. Wait for the oak to die back. Drink 2015 to 2020. (JH)" 16 out of 20 points, Jancis Robinson's Purple Pages (01/12)

WINE:
"It has a bright ruby colour. It combines on the nose red fruit and floral aromas as well as toasted notes. It is supple, straigthforward and elegant on the palate with a lovely balance with pure and clean red fruit. Tannins are ripe, fine and very well integrated to the wine. Long and nice finish with mineral nuances." -Winery

WINERY:
"Initially located in Savigny-les-Beaune, new plots have been added to the domain in the villages of Beaune and Puligny-Montrachet since 2007 and more recently in Pommard and Meursault. More than 6 hectares of vineyard are now directly grown by us. These are grown organically with no use of chemicals. The soil is ploughed in order to strengthen the roots. The date of harvest is decided when each plot has reached its full ripeness. Each plot is hand harvested." -Winery
