James Suckling - Jamessuckling.com:

"Gorgeous wine, with intense fruit that turns to flowers and spices on the nose and palate. Full-bodied and very well-corseted, with a lovely silky tannin structure. Loads going on. First time I have tasted this. Better after 2014."

Product Description:

This wine comes from a tiny parcel formerly owned by the Biondi Santi family. Beyond producing some of the best Brunello in the world, they've always been one of my favorite producers, so when I heard about this new-comer snatching up a former Biondi Santi plot, my ears really perked up.

And for good reason, too. On the nose I get a ton of liquified, burnt cherries, a hint of tar, a little bit of clove, and a hint of dustyness at the end. A very classic, rustic, and profoundly European nose. Truly substantial in every way.

On the palette, there's enormous chocolate, hints of cellar dust, and more tar. Very full bodied, but showing a classic European balance between nuance and power. This is an elegant, female dictator. There is tremendous structure, and a long, long finish that lead me to believe that this has a 25-40 year lifespan in your cellar. If you have a child born in 2007, this wine will make it past his or her 21st birthday and all the way to the wedding.

Look, I'll be honest, I find Brunello to be over-rated a lot of the time, so when I tell you that I love this, you have to put that in context. This is spectacular. " - Gary Vaynerchuk
