"The 2009 Nuits St. Georges Aux Boudots, from a parcel next to Malconsorts in Vosne, exudes a deep, baritone expression of dark fruit. Sensual and beguiling, the Boudots shows plenty of gravitas in its dark fruit, spices, menthol and new leather. The fruit powers through towards an inevitable crescendo on the finish. This is a hugely impressive wine from Grivot. Anticipated maturity: 2019-2029."
Allen Meadows - Burghound:
"In 2009, the nose is more Vosne than Nuits with ample amounts of spice to the very ripe liqueur of cassis and red cherries that gives way to highly complex, intense and concentrated medium weight plus flavors that culminate in a rich, suave and superbly long finish. This is right at the limit of what I personally prefer in terms of ripeness but many will find this to be highly seductive."
