Robert Parker - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate:

"The outstanding 2007 La Reserve is one of the vintage's most interesting wines. Its new oak component is more than adequately compensated for with copious quantities of black currant and black cherry fruit, cedarwood, and spice box notes. Generous and opulent with medium to full body and a long, layered finish, it should drink well for 7-10 years."

Product Description:

"80% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Sauvignon , and 5% Cabernet Franc. The aromatics are really full, you've got this raspberry/radish thing going on that I think is fascinating. So you get a little hint of vegetal, with a lot of fruit as well. This still has tremendous structure and tannins, balanced throughout, and really an aggressive Right Bank structure that really excites me. This is a red fruit wine, not a dark fruit wine, with a midpalate that's kind of chalky, grainy, and a hint of Old World, that really this is not going to be mistaken for a Washington State Merlot. This is through and through Old World Bordeaux. This is easily one of the better deals we've had in 2011." -Gary Vaynerchuk
