"The 2006 Taberner is 100% Syrah sourced from young vines. This purple-colored wine offers up a perfume of cedar, spice box, tobacco and black raspberry. Structured on the palate, it has 3-5 years of aging potential. Ripe, balanced, and lengthy it will be at its best from 2012 to 2018." -90 points- Jay Miller- Wine Advocate
WINE:
"Dark red cherry in colour, aromas of cassis, green peppers, toffee, orange peel and mint along with light balsamic notes. In the mouth this wine is full, elegant and well balanced with fine tannins and refreshing acidity leading to a rich and persistent finish." -Winery
VINIFICATION:
"The grapes are picked in September. Grapes are hand picked from carefully selected parcels of the vineyard. Temperature controlled fermentation takes place partly in stainless steel tanks and partly in wooden vats. The wine is then aged in barrique for 9 months with racking taking place every three months." -Winery

"The Huerta de Albala estate is filled with history. The land currently occupied by the Huerta de Albala facilities, were once part of a Roman town which in ancient times was responsible for a diverse range of cultivation. The Huerta de Albala estate is situated at 150m above sea level in Arcos de la Frontera and spans a total of 91 hectares, consisting of 75 hectares of vineyards." -Winery
