"The star of this vintage is the 2008 Cotes du Rhone-Villages Terre d'Argile, which includes the declassified Cotes du Rhone Les Garrigues fruit. From a sector just across the street from where the appellation of Chateauneuf du Pape starts, it has more Mourvedre than normal in the blend. Its deep ruby/purple color is followed by a big, sweet bouquet of blueberries, blackberries, new saddle leather, roasted meat, and spring flowers. It should drink well for 3-4 years."
