2006 cartuxa pera manca white
"The 2006 BRANCO PERA-MANCA is a blend of Arinto and Antao Vaz aged in French oak for approximately 12 months. The oak is rather prominent at the moment, and pretty much dominates the aromas and flavors of the wine. It has good focus, though, moderate crispness and a rather appealing finish that finally shows off its fruit, which pokes its head up periodically. The finish also has a slight bite to it, a little tannin. California Chard fans may find this rather appealing for its general style. I found myself warming up to it with time. It is not an insult to note that it is not quite as impressive as the massive bottle. Drink now-2011."
