2006 fado red
"The 2006 'FADO' is a blend of Trincadeira, Syrah, Touriga Nacional and Petit Verdot in equal proportions raised in French oak for six months. Obviously quite young, it tastes like a barrel sample, grapey and primary. It is a bit thin and short, but it also has some decent flavors, albeit obvious and simple. There is little depth. This has a certain mass market, Beaujolais feel to it. It is a 'drink me now' kind of wine, but can hold a couple of years. It may hold longer, but Iâ€™m not sure what will be left when the primary fruit fades, so I would err on the side of drinking earlier. In the meanwhile, it may serve many well as an easygoing party or picnic wine. Drink now-2009."
