About

Product Description:

"The Pisapola cru, of which Ascheri owns 6.5 ha., is located in the township of Verduno, exposed southeast and southwest on soils of clay rich, calcareous marl. Plant density is 4400 per ha., trained in single Guyot. The site produces a softer, more forward style of fruit than Sorano, and Ascheri vinifies and ages the wine to bring this out. Fermentation takes 12 days. After resting 4 months in steel, the wine is racked to barrel, 50% large Slovenian oak and 50% new Allier barriques. 18 months later, it is racked back to steel for another 12 months, followed by bottling and 10 months rest before release." -Importer
