Jay Miller - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
"This tiny 'garage' operation has a total of 5 hectares (11 acres) of vineyard. The 2004 Lo Givot is 33% Garnacha, 32% Carinena, 25% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 10% Syrah. Inky purple, the wine has an expressive perfume of damp earth, pencil lead, pepper, black cherry, and blueberry. This is followed by a full-bodied wine with layers of spicy black fruit flavors, excellent concentration, complexity, superb balance, and a well-delineated, lengthy finish. Drink this hedonistically-styled wine over the next 10-12 years." -Wine Advocate
"Opaque violet. Powerful boysenberry and plum compote aromas are brightened by cracked pepper, violet and smoky bacon. Lush, deeply concentrated red and dark berry flavors offer surprising energy and focus, with silky tannins adding structure. Manages to be rich yet energetic, and finishes with impressive juicy persistence." -91 points- Josh Raynolds- International Wine Cellar
