"The 2005 Riesling Mort's Block is produced from surprisingly old 37- to 45-year-old Riesling vines planted by Mort Mitchell. It is a fragrant, light-bodied white with a stony personality. The Aussies age this wine longer than I would, as I prefer it in its exuberant, refreshing youth. Consumption over the next several years is recommended. When a Riesling begins to display a mothball-like character, it's too old for my palate.
