"This unique sweet wine is 100% Pink Garnacha. Alcohol is added to stop fermentation after which the wine is transferred to neutral French oak for extended aging. It becomes part of a single barrel solera system with the current bottling a combination of wine from 1994, 1997, and 2000 with 5% added from the “mother” barrel which dates back to 1861. The wine is indeed sherry-like with an attractive nutty character, flavors of raisins and figs, excellent concentration, and a long finish. Serve at the end of a meal." - Jay Miller - WA - 91 Points - Feb 2007

"The sweet non-vintage Masia Serra Ino is a dessert wine made from 100% Grenache. Its dark amber color is accompanied by sumptuous aromas of marmalade, jammy strawberries, full-bodied, exotic, unctuously-textured flavors, moderate sweetness, and loads of character. It should drink well for 4-6 years." - Robert Parker - WA - 92 Points - June 2005

"This medium amber-colored dessert wine is made from a Solera cuvee that purportedly dates back to 1860. Its 16% alcohol as well as considerable sweetness are balanced by striking acidity that results in a high quality Vin Santo likeness. This is a stunningly perfumed (roasted hazel nuts, caramel, fig, molasses, brown sugar, and sweet kirsch), full-bodied, heady wine with a dry finish (because of good acidity). I have never tasted anything quite like it, but it is very distinctive, and may be controversial. Interestingly, like some of these treasures from France’s Languedoc-Roussillon, it is made from 100% Grenache. These wines will not change much once in bottle, but they possess unlimited aging potential." - Robert Parker - WA - 96 Points - April 2004
