1999 - Yacochuya Malbec
Sub Region Salta
library code: 16828
From the Critics:
- "The worlds most talented oenologist has just released his first premium Argentine red. Called Yacochuya, this 100% old vine Malbec comes from a mountainside vineyard situated at 2,470 meters! The 1999 Yacochuya has an opaque purple color, and a sensational bouquet of licorice, blue and blackberry jam intermixed with charcoal and spice. Full-bodied, dense, and thick, with vibrant acidity for definition, this is a stunning Malbec. Anticipated maturity: now-2015. P.S. The 2000, to be released later this year, is even better . . . more concentrated, viscous, and complete. I rated it (92-95) immediately prior to being bottled without filtration. Production is 1,650 cases" -
