Well, that was a fun season. As a Knicks fan living in San Francisco, it was bittersweet celebrating the Championship winning Warriors (but as a Knicks fan, that might be the closest I come to celebrating a title so there’s that).

It only takes a little over a week after the last game of the Finals to switch gears and focus on next year, with some of the most talented young athletes from across the world putting their fate in the hands of coaches, GMs and owners. Will Towns go first over Okafor? Will there be a bust that will stand the test of time with the likes of Greg Oden and Darko Milicic? Is Porzingis also the name of a Russian side dish?

We at Wine Library decided that the NBA shouldn’t have all the fun and decided to have a draft of our own. We humbly present to you, the 2015 Vino Draft.

With the 1st pick in the 2015 Vino Draft, Wine Library selects the 2011 Lenne Estate Pinot Noir - The top of the list, the cream of the crop, the head honcho, the big cheese … you get the idea. An Oregon native, this wine has blown us and many others out of the water. Its most recent accomplishments include scoring 94 points at PinotFile and 90 points on Wine Spectator, all while making it look easy. In this year’s draft, the number one pick is a no-brainer.

With the 2nd pick in the 2015 Vino Draft, Wine Library selects the 2011 Baer Winery Star Stillwater Creek Vineyard - They don’t call this wine a star for nothing. Trained by none other than the one and only Lance Baer, this wine can be an immediate impact player as well as a long term investment. With a list of flavors this deep, its resume speaks for itself.

With the 3rd pick in the 2015 Vino Draft, Wine Library selects the 2012 Chateau Chatard - With a storied career abroad, this French import has been the talk of the town for wine scouts across the country. A high flying Merlot/Cab Sauv blend with attractive acidity and spicy notes, it makes the perfect starter for your next celebration.

With the 4th pick in the 2015 Vino Draft, Wine Library selects the 2011 Sciara Fiori Del Sud Primitivo Salento - Don’t let this wine’s chill demeanour fool you, when it’s tasting time it’s dialed-in. A fruity bouquet with soft tannins, this structured wine is the all-around drink that you’ve been looking for.

With the 5th pick in the 2015 Vino Draft, Wine Library selects the 2011 Terre Di Monteforte Valpolicella Superiore Doc - What a shocker! At $9.99, WIne Library just got themselves a steal with the 5th pick. A full bodied red, this wine will balance out any offensive-minded wine drinker with some high caliber chocolate and raisin flavors.
