It all started during our weekly wine team meeting one week in February, our team sat down to taste our weekly lineup of new buys and possible upcoming offers. There were lots of current vintage stuff, some new Cabernet Sauvignon opportunities ... and a bottle of the 2000 Seavey Merlot. We tasted it.

It was .... well ... you can guess what we thought of it. The team was totally blown away! Like ... beyond thrilled.

Philippe honed his craft as winemaker by studying under such names as Jean Delmas and Jean Philippe Masclef from Haut-Brion, Christian Moueix and Jean Claude Berrouet from Petrus, and Paul Draper from Ridge.

On top of that, Philippe has been named one of the top nine wine consultants in the world by Robert Parker.

3) The reviews are simply off the charts. Jeb Dunnuck recently reviewed this wine which led to our buying team tasting a pair of bottles directly from the winery.  The results ... were out of this world!!!
