There’s been no shortage of Beyonce and Jay-Z headlines in the news lately. First, their marriage was reportedly on the rocks and Beyonce was likely to quickly become a Single Lady (we couldn’t help ourselves…)

She quickly went to bat, defending their marriage across social media, while planting some over-analyzed lyrics in her latest single. All this came amidst reports that she was shopping for this $21.5 Million Chelsea penthouse to prep for life apart from Mr. Carter.

Now, there’s speculation we should be “expecting” something else besides divorce papers.

While the Bey & Jay rumor mill grows, we’ve weighed in from the wine side of things. If the hip-hop icons are going to be Drunk In Love, here are the bottles we think they’d drink to celebrate the birth of Blue Ivy’s baby sibling.

2005 - jean-louis chave hermitage red

Jay is known to be somewhat of a Francophile, and he’s expanded his horizons beyond Champagne. Chave makes arguably the world’s greatest Syrah from plots on Hermitage Hill in the Northern Rhone. He’s not alone in his love for Chave. Robert Parker has dished out Triple Digit Scores, and these cuvees are a staple on all the world’s greatest restaurant wine lists.

2011 - jean louis chave offerus st. joseph
The Chave family also makes a quintessential Northern Rhone Syrah from the neighboring, though less celebrity-lauded, region of St. Joseph. We imagine Bey and Jay would order this in bulk, to pop-and-pour at a Christening, 1st birthday party, or over a Lucali pizza at Brooklyn’s best BYOB spot.

2011 - domaine roulot meursault

When they’re not celebrating in the club or over NYC’s finest pie, the couple’s preferred white wines come from Domaine Jean-Marc Roulot. Jay is known to have visited and hit it off with Jean-Marc during a recent vacation in Burgundy. Arguably the world’s top Chardonnay producer, Roulot's wines are increasingly sought by collectors — and particularly hard to find from 2011, when Burgundy’s yields were way down. Armand de Brignac “Ace Of Spades” Brut Gold

Ace Of Spades was a relatively under the radar Champagne, until Jay went on the record saying this was his bubbly of choice. This came after his public spat with Louis Roederer, the house that produces Cristal, in 2006. We imagine The Carter Family popping this by the case during summer evenings in The Hamptons.

2011 - sassicaia magnum
Tuscany’s most sought after wine, Sassicaia has long been a favorite of critics, collectors, and sommeliers alike. Adding to its legendary status, Jay Z proclaimed it as his collectible wine of choice.

If the family continues to grow and the couple proves they’re Crazy In Love (we couldn’t help ourselves), we’d recommend Jay and Bey buy these in large format. After all, these bottles are (dare we say), Irreplaceable.
