"If you are a fan of the crisp and clean, and have not explored the wines of the Loire Valley aside from Sancerre and Pouilly Fume, you need to experience the lean salinity that Muscadet has to offer." - Giovanni Sabree

If I had to choose one wine to drink all summer long it would be the 2012 Domaine De La Bregeonette Muscadet Clos De La Coudray. The quality of this wine pulled me in, the 94 ptsWine and Spirits score added to the appeal and the $16.99 price point got me hooked! I am totally obsessed with this elegant production that Winemaker Stéphane Orieux has created in the Sévre-et-Maine appellation of the Loire Valley. This wine embodies both citrus and mineral notes in refined layers that makes this so easy to have as an aperitif or paired with your light summer meals.

As the temperatures continue to rise in The Garden State it is only correct to explore the diverse qualities and styles of white wine. From the tropical fruit expressions of Sauvignon Blanc to the citrus tones of Pinot Grigio, I must say Muscadet is a fresher example of what dry summertime wine is all about. If you are a fan of the crisp and clean, and have not explored the wines of the Loire Valley aside from Sancerre and Pouilly Fume, you need to experience the lean salinity that Muscadet has to offer. Some styles showcasing more mineral notes while others display more citrus tones, but no matter the style they all transmit a racy acidity, making this wine super versatile and so refreshing. The 2012 Domaine De La Bregeonette Muscadet Clos De La Coudray has a lively character that I am sure will have you coming back for more.
