Medicinal herbs lift from the glass of the 2021 Oltresogno with aromas of eucalyptus, fresh mint, black cherry, and forest floor. Medium to full-bodied, it brings fresh energy with clean lift and a refined feel, without being overdone. It’s pure and inviting, and I’m very impressed with these wines from Campo Alle Comete. They have precision without any excess weight and a silky, stony texture underpinning the wines. Drink 2024-2037.

This vineyard is a small enclave of vines surrounded by the city of Libourne. Now made by the Cheval Blanc wine team, it shows great style and richness. The pliant, creamy finish adds to an overall impression of finesse. This is a gorgeous 2012.

The 2023 Bourgogne Chardonnay delivers aromas and flavors of yellow apples, pears and vanilla. This wine is nicely balanced with a round core that is underlined by a lovely touch of acidity to balance it out. This Chardonnay is drinking beautifully now.
