Josh Raynolds - Vinous Media:

"Light, bright red. High-pitched red berry and floral scents are given depth by notes of woodsmoke, anise and musky herbs. Tangy, penetrating and energetic, offering taut redcurrant and bitter cherry flavors that become sweeter with air. Closes silky and sweet, with subtle tannins and sexy rose pastille and spicecake qualities. Leans toward the savory side of pinot, in a Burgundian fashion."

Product Description:

"This Pinot Noir comes from two sections of Los Alamos Vineyard, clones 777 and 115. The grapes were handpicked on September 4, and crushed into an open-top tank. The grapes started fermentation after a five day cold soak and were punched-down by hand twice daily. The wine was pressed 10 days later when it was dry. I aged this wine in French oak barrels (20% new) for 11 months and bottled it unfiltered to preserve its vibrancy. Only 300 cases made." -Winery
