"Smoke, slate, crushed rocks, nectarines and orange blossoms are some of the many nuances that are woven together in Lail’s 2010 Sauvignon Blanc Georgia. A gorgeous, textured white, the Graves-inspired Georgia stands out for its exceptional overall balance and finesse. There is plenty of richness to fill out the wine’s broad shoulders, but no excess heaviness. The 2010 spent 17 months in French oak barrels, 83% new, all of which it handles with grace. Anticipated maturity: 2012-2016."

"Bright green-tinged yellow. Cooler on the nose and palate than the 2009, offering notes of underripe pineapple, crushed rock, gooseberry, licorice and fresh herbs. Suave and energetic, with penetrating minerality contributing to the impression of purity and thrust. Showing more definition and phenolic grip than the oakier 2009, this should make a dynamite food wine. Winemaker Philippe Melka stirs the lees for the first six months. A superb and distinctive California sauvignon."
"This exquisite, Graves-like Sauvignon Blanc welcomes the first member of our family’s sixth generation – Georgia Eileen Dixon. Georgia is fermented and aged in all new French oak for 18 months before being bottled, and should drink well for at least three to four years. Offering unprecedented depth and complexity, amazing texture and a long finish, Georgia has been lauded by Robert Parker as “…potentially the most serious Sauvignon Blanc to ever come out of California.” -Winery
