"Herdade do Sobroso belongs to the recent and enthusiastic generation of Alentejo Estates that bonds wine production with open space and nature, and using them as a leisure centre. Located in the Vidigueira municipality of Alentejo; Herdade do Sobroso is bordered by the Mendro mountain range to the north, the River Guadiana to the east and to the south by an enormous plain. Established as recently as 2002, and with 50 hectares under vine, Herdade do Sobroso is run by renowned enologist Filipe Teixeira Pinto and agronomist Francisco Pimenta."

"The vineyards here are characterized by having a loamclay, sandy soil and ensuring that the design of the vineyards matches the toughest criteria, to assure the production of the highest quality grapes.
