"The 2004 vintage continues our pursuit to produce a Cabernet that rivals the successes of our Zinfandel. Each year we feel this wine gets better due to the continued opportunity we have to source great vineyards from different regions. 2004 was a warmer vintage with low yields that allowed ripe flavors and tannins to develop. The wine is a classic cabernet, satiny, rich and complex. The color is purple, ruby red, with aromas of blackberry, cassis and mocha. The entry on the palette is rich and fruit forward, with jammy flavors and sweet balanced tannins that leave a long lasting finish. The fruit is sourced from Napa Valley, Sonoma County, Lake County, and Lodi, aged for 15 months in a selection of American & French oak barrels, 2-4 years old." -Winery
