"A young Montepulciano d'Abruzzo and an excellent exampe of Abruzzo's most important native grape. Ruby red with purple hues, intense and elegant fruit flavor and a pleasant liquorice aftertaste. The palate is round and complete, with a natural balance of tannin and acidity. VARIETAL: 100% Montepulciano d'Abruzzo. GRAPES PER HECTAR: 12-13 tn. HARVEST: First 15 days of October VINIFICATION: Vinification is carried out using the traditional submerged cup system, carefully controlled in order to extract delicate tannins and varietal fruit characteristics. Maceration lasts for 10 to 12 days. The wine then spends 4 months in stainless steel vats. FOOD PAIRING: Great with barbeque and medium-seasoned cheese." -Importer
