"The 2006 Shiraz was aged for 14 months in new and used French and American oak. Dark ruby-colored, it has an attractive aroma of fragrant plums, blueberry, pepper, and spice box. Supple-textured with ample ripe fruit, the wine has excellent balance and length. It is an excellent value. Nugan Estate produces 550,000 cases of wine and has 519 hectares of estate fruit under vine. They are the 13th largest exporter of Australian wine. As this portfolio of wines attest, they continue to focus on quality from top to bottom."
