"Fascinating blend of Pinot Noir, Cabernet Franc, and Negrette from the extreme western Loire Valley. Deeply "sultry" violet/garnet color. Nose of mineral salts, cherry, strawberry, and a hint of both brown spices and flowers. The wine in the mouth is medium-bodied, supple, fresh, and coherent with flavors of pickling spices and a kiss of black raisins on the finish. Needs a decanting to really open up."
