"As outstanding as the 2003 Acininobili is, the 2004 Madoro may be even better. This blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Marzemino reveals an exotic array of roasted coffee beans, herbs, new leather and sweet dark fruit in a profound expression of mind-blowing intensity that deftly balances concentration and elegance. This superb effort is not to be missed. 2004 is the first vintage for Madoro. The fruit spent several months drying prior to fermentation and the wine was aged in new French oak. There is no 2005 and the 2006 was produced in a different style, with significantly less oak aging. It will be a fascinating wine to follow over the next few vintages. Anticipated maturity: 2007-2019."
