"The 2001 Reserva is 100% Tempranillo from vines averaging over 45 years of age. It was aged for 14 months in American oak followed by 6 months in one-year-old French barrels. It is a dense purple-colored wine with an impressive bouquet of vanilla, spice box, blueberry and blackberry. Rich and structured, it exhibits additional notes of tobacco, black cherries, and black currants in its medium to full-bodied personality. Give it 2-3 years for further evolution and drink it over the following decade. It is also an outstanding value."
