Negly`s entry-level rose is produced from a block of 15-year old vines planted at 5,000 vines/ha. These are planted in clay and limestone soils in Fleury d'Aude overlooking the "Lion's Gulf" on the Mediterranean coast, south of Narbonne. The hand-harvested, hand-sorted fruit was fermented in temperature-controlled, cement tanks with a 30-day maceration, after which the new wine was aged on its lees for three months. The blend for this cuvee includes 40% Grenache Noir, 30% Cinsault, 20% Carignan, and 10% Syrah. 14%. Talented local enologist, Claude Gros, is the hands-on consultant. Gold medal at the 2006 Concours General Agricole.
