"An outstanding bargain is the 2005 Cuvee Le Bec, a blend of 52% Grenache, 34% Syrah, 8% Mourvedre, and 5% Counoise. It is difficult to find a California wine this good and this complex at such a price. This Cotes du Rhone-like red is a sexy, juicy, medium-bodied effort offering loads of pepper, white currants, cherries, and licorice. Silky-textured with enough acidity and freshness for vibrancy, this fruity, lovely 2005 should drink well for several years."
